Search the quote and the contract for these words: weekend, Sunday, holiday, premium, special day, observed. Write each place you find one: ____________

Step 2: Get the premium day list in writing

Step 3: Check the minimum on premium days

Look at your household calendar for the holidays your family observes over a full year, plus any regular weekend needs. Count the premium days that fall inside the hours you plan to book: ______

What can lower your premium exposure

Ask whether a fixed weekday block that avoids premium days is possible, with the weekend covered by family or another arrangement you have already agreed to. Ask whether the provider has a written rule for holidays you schedule in advance. Get the answer on paper before you rely on it.

Signs to stop and ask again

  • No holiday list appears anywhere in the paperwork.
  • The premium is set at the provider's discretion with no notice to you.
  • The provider cannot show a sample invoice that includes a premium day.
